In 2020, arrangements were made for the popular Super Stock division to compete as a support event at three APC United Late Model Series rounds. Contests were conducted at Sauble Speedway and Sunset Speedway, with the finale at Jukasa Motor Speedway. In 2021, the class received backing from Qwick Wick Fire Starters for the inaugural five-race championship.

There are five Qwick Wick Super Stock Series events this season.

  • Saturday, June 17 - Peterborough Speedway
  • Friday, June 30 - Delaware Speedway
  • Saturday, July 15 - Flamboro Speedway
  • Saturday, August 12 - Sunset Speedway
  • Friday, September 22 - Delaware Speedway

The Super Stock category includes a variety of makes and models from the ‘60s to the current year. The rules used in the class allow some suspension modifications and changes to the bodies. Some Super Stock cars retain the original steel bodies with plastic noses and fiberglass hoods; however, most use fiberglass body panels. They are powered by a modified small-block engines or crate motors from General Motors and Ford. The division serves as a ‘stepping stone’ for those drivers who aspire to compete in the Pro Late Model category.

A new restart procedure was introduced this year by series officials for the APC United Late Model and Qwick Wick Super Stock divisions called the 'choose rule.' On restarts, competitors are allowed to choose their lane. Their selection may be determined by the condition of the track, how many cars are ahead of them or the handling of their vehicle. If a driver changes their choice after the designated 'choose spot,' they must start from the rear of the field.

The final event of the 2023 Qwick Wick Super Stock Series was held at Delaware Speedway. Drivers would compete in a fifty-lap contest around the ½-mile semi-banked asphalt oval.

The pace lap and nineteen competitors line up on Delaware Speedway’s back straight for the final round of the 2023 Qwick Wick Super Stock Series. The fastest qualifier, Hudson Nagy, is on the pole, driving the No. 36N Nagy Motorsports Chevrolet Camaro. Next to Nagy is the No. 28 Douglas Window and Door Chevrolet Camaro of the third fastest qualifier, Ryan Dyson. Filling out row two are Steve Book and Trevor Colver.
After four rounds of the 2023 Qwick Wick Super Stock Series, there were four winners, and the trend would continue with the finale. Mid-season Nagy Motorsports purchased the Chase Pinsonneault Super Stock Chevrolet Camaro. The driving duties were assigned to Hudson Nagy. Hot off a win from the previous weekend, Nagy was the fastest qualifier and started on the pole. He went flag-to-flag for the victory.
The series proved that several competitors could win on any given weekend. However, to earn the title would require consistency. The No. 93 Humberviewparts.ca Chevrolet Camaro of Carson Nagy entered the final race with only one result outside of the top five. Nagy qualified second fastest and was gridded in the sixth spot. In the race, he moved up the order and finished second, which secured the championship.
Delaware Speedway regular Ryan Dyson was having a challenging season. The No. 28 Douglas Window and Door Chevrolet Camaro was often fast in qualifying, which was not reflected in the race results. In the qualifying session for the final round, Dyson was third quickest and started on the outside of the front row. He maintained second until he was passed by Carson Nagy on lap-19. He finished third and was seventh in the championship.
Ontario short-track veteran Shawn Chenoweth had a miserable start to his 2023 Qwick Wick Super Stock Series campaign. At the season opener, contact with Gerrit Tiemersma eliminated him from the race. Chenoweth began his drive back to championship contention and collected three consecutive third-place results before the series stopped for the final event. He collected a fourth in round five and finished third in the final standings.
The driver with the best odds of winning this year’s championship was Lane Zardo. Zardo captured the inaugural series title in the No. 36 Bester Forest Products Ford Mustang. He entered round five at Delaware Speedway with a three-point lead on Carson Nagy. Unfortunately, the Mustang wasn’t up to the task. Zardo recorded the eighth-fastest time in qualifying and started seventh. He crossed the finish line in eighth place.
Four drivers had a mathematical chance of capturing the 2023 Qwick Wick Super Stock Series title. One of them was another Delaware regular, Trevor Colver. The driver of the No. 1 Inventory Express Chevrolet Camaro was victorious the last time the series visited the track. Colver qualified and started in the fourth position. He was not competitive and finished ninth. Colver was fourth in the championship standings.
