Sebring - March 12 - 15, 2003

The Joest Audi won the 12 Hours of Sebring, however, they had to beat many new challengers. Mosport - May 16 - 17, 2003
Mosport
Scott Pruett won the Trans Am race at Mosport keeping his record in tact. In five starts at Mosport Pruett has taken five wins. Watkins Glen - June 20 -23, 2003

The Six Hours of the Glen came down to a wheel banging incident between the top two cars. Trois Rivieres - August 1 - 3, 2003
Trois Rivieres
It was the second visit for the ALMS series at Trois Rivieres but the thirty-fourth edition of this very popular event. Click below to see the ALMS cars: Scott Pruett is two for two in Canada. He led flag to flag and continues to pad his point lead in the 2003 Trans Am Championship. Despite his domination of the event there was a lot of exciting racing further down the field. Mosport - August 15 - 17, 2003

The combination of Frank Biela and Marco Werner took their second LMP900 and overall win in Canada. Click below to see the exciting action from the LMP900 race: Despite starting at the back of the grid, after a warm-up accident, Chris Dyson and Andy Wallace worked their way to the front for the LMP675 victory LMP675 images are below: Ron Fellows and Johnny O'Connell qualified a lowly fourth in class but after the dust selected they were first in the GTS category. Click below to see images of the GTS races: As usual the Alex Job Porsches dominated the GT class. This time it was Timo Bernhard and Jorg Bergmeister on top of the podium. Drifting has been called the newest form of motorsport. While some may dispute this claim there is no denying its popularity as a sold out crowd watched the first ever round of the D1 Grand Prix USA contested at Irwindale Speedway. Click below to see images from this event:

Laguna Seca - September 5 - 7, 2003

The ALMS teams enjoyed great weather at Laguna Seca for round seven of the series. Images for all ALMS class can be viewed by selecting one of the links below: Paul Mumford scored his first World Challenge - GT win at Laguna Seca in a Dodge Viper. The last time this make visited Victory Circle in World Challenge competition was at Mosport in 2000. Click below to see photographs from this exciting event: Jeff Altenburg captured the World Challenge - Touring class victory at Laguna Seca in a Mazda. But the big story was second place finisher, Bill Auberlen, who secured the 2003 championship. Photographs from this race are posted below:

Mosport - September 13, 2003
Mosport
Grand Sports I qualifying was dominated by local favourites Powell and Goad in the Powell Motorsport Corvette. Their dominance continued into the race but brake problems late in the event allowed the Doncaster Porsche to take the victory. It's been a tough season for competitors racing the once dominant Acura Integra Type R. However, the duo of Keravich and Trinkler added another win to its long list of victories in the Sports Touring class. Click below for ST I & II photographs:

Mont Tremblant - September 19 - 21, 2003

With only two events remaining on the Grand Am calendar after Mont-Tremblant the racing was tight, as class titles are yet to be determined. Images can be seen below: It was another exciting weekend of close racing in both the Grand Sports I and II classes. The Doncaster Porsche was able to capitalize on a late race spin by the Powell Motorsports team to take the overall win. The STI victory went to Guy Cosmo who was competing in his first Grand Am Cup event and co-driver Jim Hamblin. Images from the weekend can be viewed by clicking the link below:

Road Atlanta - October 15 - 18, 2003
Road Atlanta
The 2003 Petit Le Mans marked the season finale for the American Le Mans series. There was plenty of action as various titles would be decided. It was an important weekend for Randy Pobst and Audi in the World Challenge - GT points chase. A win for Pobst and back luck for Bill Auberlen and his BMW teammates allowed him to take the championship lead with only one race remaining. Bill Auberlen captured the World Challenge - Touring title at Laguna Seca but with the remaining positions in the Championship still to be determined there was plenty of close racing.
